ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 Architectural Practice Case Study London

Below is an ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 Architectural Practice Case Study London, from a company called MSMR Architects Ltd.

MSMR Architects Ltd, London

MSMR is firstly one of London’s leading residential designers with an impressive portfolio of successfully delivered projects.

Established in 2000, the practice has been shaped by their passion for the intricacies and challenges of architectural design and development.

This passion still remains at the heart of MSMR today. As they continue to pursue their agenda of creating inspiring architecture that delivers for their clients.

Today, in their Waterloo-based studio, they have a team of 38 committed and enthusiastic architects and designers. Who work across an extensive portfolio of projects in the UK and abroad.

Their current major projects include One Bishopsgate Plaza, Morley House on Regent Street and also Knightsbridge Gate.

What made them decide to start the ISO journey?

Their current practice and project management systems have evolved gradually over the past 19 years. Though largely effective, they are to some extent, personal to MSMR.

Through the ISO certification process, they were aiming to have these systems endorsed by an accredited organisation such as Interface.

They felt this would give potential new clients confidence in their capabilities when it comes to delivering effective, quality assured architectural design services.

What drew them to Interface NRM, and what made them proceed with us

The team at MSMR wanted to specifically ensure they worked with a UKAS accredited company. Additionally, one that would have some understanding of typical working processes for architects.

They asked several other practices about their experiences and Interface were highly recommended. In particular for being professional, responsive, flexible and pragmatic.

They worked towards ISO 9001:2015 Quality, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental, ISO 45001:2018 Health & Safety certification.

How they have found the ISO certification process?

The process was very interesting. To analyse our working methods in such depth has been both challenging and informative, helping to shape the future of our practice.

We are trusted for the quality of our architectural design services and the ‘added value’ we deliver, and this is reflected in the high percentage of repeat client work we undertake.

Finally, the process of certification provided us with an opportunity to collate, enhance and formalise the values, objectives, and policies we operate.

Interface lived up to its reputation by effectively and efficiently helping us to align our systems more closely with current best practice.
