Ukraine Children in Crisis Appeal

Following a discussion here at Interface, we have donated £1,000 to a children’s charity to support children and families at risk in Ukraine.

Chris Rayment who is our Programme Manager has, in the past, been heavily involved with these charitable activities and has worked extensively in this field in Ukraine, which is why we have chosen this fundraising in particular.

Family for Every Child

Family for Every Child, a global alliance of local civil society organisations working together to improve the lives of vulnerable children around the world – is now actively responding to the unfolding and unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Ukraine by supporting a network of small-scale non-profit organisations in Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Moldova.

Family for Every Child is appealing for donations to provide practical support to 1,400 children and their families (many of which are foster families for children without parental care), both inside Ukraine and in Moldova and Bulgaria for families who are being displaced due to the conflict. The response is being delivered by local personnel on the ground in Ukraine who have been running effective programmes supporting vulnerable children and families for more than 20 years. They are working closely with other humanitarian organisations to make sure that displaced families in Ukraine and refugee families in Bulgaria and Moldova are safe, have access to clean water, food, and other basic supplies, as well as communications, transport, and psychological support.
