UKAS CertCheck

UKAS CertCheck

Our admin team have been busy this week uploading our customer data into the UKAS CertCheck database.

This is in preparation for its launch over the course of the next few weeks.

What is UKAS CertCheck?

Certcheck is a publicly accessible database. It will allow users to verify valid accredited certifications.

You can search the database either by company name or certificate number to check the validity.

Information on the standards held and the scope of certification for the company will also be included.

In addition to the public search, users will also have the ability to create an account where they can add certificates to a watch list. The database will then notify the user should the certification become suspended or terminated for example.

Non-UKAS certification

If you currently hold a non-UKAS certificate you may be asking why you will not appear within the CertCheck?

Firstly non-UKAS Certification Bodies are not accredited by a recognised Accreditation Body.

This means that the competency of the Certification Body is not known. Therefore the certificate may not meet the requirements which are met by Accredited Certification Bodies.

UKAS are the only Accreditation Body recognised by the UK government. Meaning that it is vitally important when applying for tenders in the public sector in particular.

UKAS Certification With Interface NRM

Interface NRM will be fully participating with the CertSearch.

Anybody holding UKAS Certification with us will appear on this database. Your information will be automatically updated by our team.
