FSC® Forest Matters December 2020

Have you read the FSC® Forest Matters December 2020? Read the full edition.

This months edition

Again this month there are some really interesting articles in Forest Matters.

Firstly on the 15th of December at 11 am FSC® will hold a webinar on the use of their labels. We would urge all of our FSC® certificate holders to take part in this webinar. Register here.

Secondly, on the first of January, the European Timber Regulation and FLEGT will become UK domestic legislation as the UK Timber Regulations and FLEGT. They have also published an article by the Office for Product Safety and Standards on how to get ready for the UK Timber Regulation.

Of course, it would be rude not to discuss Christmas in a December newsletter. This month they have published an article on some of the FSC® certified Christmas trees which are displayed in very prominent positions throughout the UK.

The case study this month is from Littlethorpe of Leicester. They manufacture high-quality bus shelters built by hand from FSC® certified hardwood.

Littlethorpe of Leicester currently holds group certification with FenCert. Interface NRM is the Certification Body of FenCert.

What is group FSC® certification?

FSC® developed Group Chain of Custody primarily to help smaller enterprises achieve certification by reducing their costs and becoming jointly certified under one certificate.

You can also find more information about this on the FSC® Small Business Group Chain of Custody Schemes in the UK page.

Interface NRM

Interface NRM is an ASI Accredited Certification Body.

One of the services we offer is FSC® Chain of Custody Certification.
