Forest Matters September 2020 Edition

Forest Matters September 2020 Edition

Why have you used a picture of a pair of shoes on the FSC® Forest Matters September 2020 Edition blog post I hear you ask?

The reason I have chosen this picture is that Clarks have published a case study in this month’s edition.

Shoes can’t be FSC® certified

I must admit prior to starting at Interface I had always related both FSC® and/or PEFC products to wood or paper.

However, this is not the case and there are many other products that can be attributed to responsible sourcing.

What other products can be certified?

Rubber/latex, essential oils, cosmetics, nuts, and also tea to name a few can hold a certification.

This is where Clarks come into the picture.

They have committed to sourcing deforestation-free, environmentally conscious, and socially responsible natural rubber! Who would have thought it?

Read the full case study here.

What else is included in this month’s edition?

In addition to this, you can also find more information about FSC® Friday, and details of a webinar held in connection with Forests and Fashion.

You can also read the full publication here.
