A Plastic Tide – A Sky News Documentary

A plastic tide – A Sky News documentary, is a really interesting documentary showing the effect that single-use plastics have on our planet.

Additionally, it is eaten by marine creatures, which subsequently means that it enters our food chain. In particular, at the moment scientists do not know what long-term effects this will have on us.

Undoubtedly this makes it vitally important that we find alternatives to single-use plastics.

FSC® and PEFC Certification

Subsequently, this is where FSC® and PEFC Certification comes into play.

Whilst a lot of single-use plastics are being replaced by their paper/wood counterparts. It is also crucial that we make sure that these paper and wood products are responsibly sourced.

FSC® and PEFC Certification is also referred to as a Chain of Custody. This means that there is product traceability from the forest, right the way through to the end consumer.

The FSC® and PEFC logos also allow customers to identify that the products they purchase are from well-managed forests with high ethical standards.

It also demonstrates that as an organisation you are committed to responsible practices
