The PEFC Stakeholder Event is a workshop to gain a clear understanding of what lies behind the PEFC label and why certification and Chain of Custody is so important.
The day will cover:
- Sustainable Forest Management – what it involves and why it matters
- Chain of Custody Certification – A chance to have questions answered about the process which tracks a product from the forest to the end user.
- How to use the PEFC label – Promoting your company’s investment in certification to your customers
What is PEFC?
Firstly, PEFC is widely recognised as a leading advocate of sustainable forest management. Its distinctive ‘two trees’ logo appears on forest products around the world – a symbol of responsible business and assurance of legal and sustainable sourcing.
Secondly, It is fast becoming a requirement for any company displaying a responsible approach to purchasing wood or fibre based products.
Furthermore, PEFC Chain of Custody Certification provides reassurance to the consumer that the products with the PEFC logo are sustainable.
Additionally, it shows that the business carrying the PEFC Chain of Custody logo holds ethics and environmentally responsible practices to the highest regard.
This week we have certified a supplier of wood pellets, based in London for PEFC Chain of Custody.
