FSC® core labour requirements
Here is some important information for our current Certificate Holders with regards to changes in the FSC® core labour requirements.
Preferred by Nature will be hosting a free webinar on the 9th, 10th or the 16th of December in relation to these changes.
What are the changes?
FSC-STD-40-004 V3-1 Chain of Custody Certification now includes a number of elements – please see below for further details:
- Firstly the abolition of child labour, elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour, elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation, respect of freedom of association, and effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
- adopting and implementing policy statement(s) that encompass the FSC Core Labour Requirements;
- demonstrating compliance through certification with other social certifications;
- an option for other organizations such as certification bodies to submit certification schemes which comply to the FSC Core Labour Requirements, and;
- Lastly incorporating a risk-based approach via self-assessments in which organizations describe how they apply the requirements to their operations.
What will the webinar include?
The webinar will be hosted by a panel of Preferred by Natures FSC Auditors. It will provide an overview of the FSC core labour requirements. It also illustrates the main steps on how you can implement them into your organisation.
