About us      

Physiological Measurements pride themselves on being a leading community provider of non-obstetric ultrasound and community cardiology. PML’s mission goes beyond delivering exceptional healthcare, they are also committed to sustainability in ensuring their operations positively impact communities (their patients), and the environment.

Building on a strong foundation

For over a decade, PML held ISO 14001 certification, which provided them with a robust framework for environmental management. The ISO 14001 Environmental certification process drives PML’s carbon reductions, helps minimise their environmental impact, and improves their sustainability efforts.

The impact of ISO 14064-1

However, in 2023 PML decided to take a step forward in demonstrating their commitment to sustainability and increase their confidence in their carbon reduction goals and sustainability claims, which is why they pursued ISO 14064-1. This standard for greenhouse gas accounting and verification was the logical next step for them on their journey to deepen sustainability efforts, establish clear and measurable goals for carbon reduction and improve staff engagement in their sustainability efforts.

Throughout the verification process PML’s understanding of carbon accounting improved significantly, supported by our ability to accurately verify their emissions. Achieving ISO 14064-1 has provided PML with the confidence to accurately report their carbon and greenhouse gas emissions. The standard has shown them which initiatives have been the most effective in reducing carbon and greenhouse gas emissions, expanding the scope of their sustainability programme, whilst showcasing tangible progress in their sustainability efforts.

Achieving ISO 14001, and ISO 14064-1 with Interface NRM really highlights their dedication to sustainable practices and shows that they do truly care about their environmental impact.
