FSC® Certification ensures that from forest to end user, the FSC® materials have been traced at every stage, and the logo allows customers to identify that the products they purchase come from well-managed forests with high social standards.

If a product is referred to as being FSC® certified this means that the materials used to produce the product have been traced at every stage. From the forest, right the way through to the end user. By purchasing products displaying the FSC® logo you can be assured that it has come from well-managed forests with high social standards.

There are 2 elements to FSC® Certification. The first is the cost for a Certification Body to audit your Chain of Custody Management System. The second element is the FSC® AAF or Annual Administration Fee. The AAF is an annual fee charged to Certificate Holders by the FSC, via Certification Bodies like Interface. The purpose of the AAF is to support FSC®’s core operations. Here you can find further information about how the AAF’s are calculated. Speak to one of our team today who will be able to provide you with an exact costing for certification here.

Firstly you will need to have a Chain of Custody Management System in place for an audit to be conducted against. By far the simplest way to get started is to employ a consultant. A consultant will come in, evaluate what systems / procedures & documentation you already have in place and can then work with you to implement a Chain of Custody Management System tailored to your organisation which meets the requirements of the Standard. Give the Sales Team a call today and we can send you over a list of recommended consultants whose management systems we know and trust!
