ISO 9001 is the Quality Management System (QMS) Standard set by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

A 9001 QMS will allow your organisation to demonstrate how you are consistently providing quality products and quality services to you customers. It helps you focus on meeting customer’s and regulatory requirements through a simple Plan, Do, Check, Act Cycle which drives continual improvement for your organisation.

Anyone can implement the requirements of 9001, and it’s highly likely you already meet more of the requirements than you realise.

Get in touch today to schedule a Gap Analysis for ISO 9001 and we can help you identify which requirements you may not yet be meeting.

ISO 9001 Certification is a process whereby a third-party organisation (such as Interface) comes into your organisation and compares the processes you have in place to the framework of the 9001 Standards requirements.

Don’t panic! We don’t come in to find faults, what we are looking for is how you comply to the standard, and anything found along the way will be clearly discussed with you.

We offer UKAS Accredited ISO 9001 Certification. This means that the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) have Accredited us to Certify you. Ultimately, UKAS is the only recognised accreditation body in the UK, which means any non-UKAS certification is not worth the paper it is written on. One benefit of us being UKAS Accredited is the peace of mind you get knowing we are regulated to do our bit correctly!

There are a few different avenues for how you can gain 9001 Certification. Ultimately, you will need to have in place a set of processes that form a system which matches the framework for a Quality Management System (QMS) laid out in the ISO 9001 Standard. The way in which you implement a QMS can vary.

  1. Do it yourself.

It is highly likely that you will already have many of the systems in place you need to meet the requirements of the Standard. We have a handy workbook you can work through to help you get started, and we can provide you some handy websites that will steer you down the right path. Give the Sales Team a call today to get start your 9001 Certification journey today!

  1. Employ a consultant.

This is by far the simplest way to get started. A Consultant will come in, evaluate what you do and don’t have already in place, and put together a QMS tailored to your organisation and meeting the requirements of the Standard. Give the Sales Team a call today and we can send you over a list of recommended consultants we know and trust!

  1. Gap Analysis
Again, it is likely you have many things in place. Go through the exercises in option 1, then we can offer you what we call a Gap Analysis. This would come before your certification audits, giving us a chance to review your systems and highlight any gaps and give you some impartial advice on how you could close those gaps.
  2. Mixed approach.

There’s no harm in starting with doing it yourself then getting a consultant to come in and fully analyse your systems for you and put in the required work to fill any gaps. That way they will spend less time with you meaning you will spend less money.

Once your system is in place, we can move to auditing it. The audit process is simple and we aim to make it as hassle free for your organisation as possible. Starting with a Stage 1, we check to see how you are complying, if there are any potential issues or nonconformances they will usually be found at this stage. Then there will be the Stage 2 audit when we effectively audit your whole system, report on your compliance and issue your certificate.
